Hay i have this 1990 300zx non turboon the cas.I have a spark problem.I have followed the tech fourm and did what that say to do.
I took the cas of and spin it and i have a spark and the injectors work fine.Then when i bolt it back on to the motor no spark and the injectors stop help please...........tks

Sounds to me like something is wrong with your CAS drive. When you pulled the CAS out did you verify that the drive tang is intact?

Hay Bwana tks for the post
Ya i did and it looks like it is.I did take it back apart of the block and turn it again and it did fire and the injectors did fire.I have two ptu units and swaped them out and thay are both fine.There is a spark i do wonder if the is the shaft is broke but it dose turn..........

If you're not getting any spark with the CAS installed it means that for some reason it's not turning. If you can have someone crank the engine over with the CAS out you should be able to verify that the shaft is turning. If not, you have a lot of work ahead of you...

will this make the timeing go out? if i turn the motor with out the cas in

The CAS only installs one way onto the drive.

ok It does spin put no injectors or spark when bolted back up!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But take it of and it has spark and injectors wow

Hmmmm. I'm not a z32 expert but the best guess I'm coming up with is that something has failed inside the CAS causing it to ground the signal. Try holding the housing of the CAS against a ground while spinning it and see if you get any spark that way. If not, a new CAS is in order.

Common to replace CAS on older J30/300zx along with VVT solenoids, etc.
