im assuming that it ran before accident. Either way i would troubleshoot the following. First verify that all your relays, fuses etc are still working(get a haynes or chiltons manual). it's very possible one of them got trashed in accident. Next I would verify that you are getting spark to all cylinders(it sounded for a moment that something was firing, but not all), verify that all your injectors are working correctly. Also now that im thinking of it, check your ECU for error codes.

Basically for the engine to work(in very basic theory) fuel is injected into cylinder, it is compressed, then a spark ignites the gas(causing a controlled explosion) forcing piston down, causing the crank to turn. So when you are not "starting", something in this model is not functioning correctly. with newer models the "spark" timing is controlled by the computer, as well as the "mixture" of fuel/air. Chances are it's something simple, but finding it can be a problem.
also verify all the wiring harness's are intack, conected and there are no cut wires.
