Im having some problems and am running into deadends left and right, i was driving home from a long trip and about 70 miles away from my house the pulley that drives the water pump fell off, also i have removied my AC and Power steering systems so i need ideas for what kind of belt to use to go from the pully to the waterpump and thats all, I need to find out what the name of that pulley is and where i can get one, ive been calling all around and seeing as its saturday where im at the nissan parts center is closed so i cant find out from them, well please help me and thank you for your time

there is a single belt mod you can do. i think you use the ka-e alt bracket, and something else. not real sure. use google for it. its been covered a few times. you cant really go from the crank to the water pump with out a tensioner. but that would be easy to make if they offer a belt that small.

ok im not sure if you guys understand, i already did the mod, i had it working just fine, but i guess i stripped some of the bolts when i put that pulley on and now that whole pulley is gone, i need to find out the name of that part, its part of the main crank pulley assembly, its the furthest out towards the radiator, is held on by 6 bolts, also i found out that the SOHC runs the Alt and the Water pump off the same belt, do you think its possible for my DOHC to run the same belt system as a SOHC?

Isn't that the harmonic balancer? I know my friend's fell off (Pretty hilarious, too bad I had to give him my extra one)

Maybe Brent got it; I have no clue what you are talking about, but if you browse a little bit the website I mentioned, they have nice FSM-like exploded sketches of everything and their corresponding names.

yes you can bro...i run a belt strait from the crank to the water pump...works just fine.....

to find your belt size man...just use a cloth type meshuring tape..like from your mom's sewing box or sumpin...wrap it around both pullys like you had a belt on..get the meshurment..go down to your local parts store and ask for XXXXX legth belt...easy as pie...as for the water pump pully its self...junk yard dive for that bro if ya can...look for 240's..200,s or maximas...they all have what your looking for...you can allso modify a pully to work too as you run a free set up like me....good luck
