help!

i have a 96 240sx se, my question is did all of these cars come stock with keyless entry and anti-theft alarm?? if they did i think something is wrong with my dash then b/c my o/d light doesn't come on, my anti-theft hasn't worked and a couple other lights won't come on in my hud could this be wiring also sometimes the climate control and the defrost and hazard light won't illuminate and the wierdest thing is my right side corner lights and side marker aren't wonrking and they both stop working at the same time but the right side headlight is working fine??? i've checked all fuses inside the car and underneath the hood and they are all good....but my passenger side window if broken so could it be that the cpu thinks my window is down and won't attivate the anti-theft?? isn't the same thing controling my keyless entry as well as the anti-theft?

you could take all the windows out of your car and still be able to set the anti theft alarm. I would say you have a source problem either from the fuse box or at the battery 2 wires coming off the positive battery cable.

the fuses are all fine....i'll check the battery but i don't know what i'm looking for.... but shouldn't the anti- theft illuminate in the dash when i turn on the car just like the other lights for oil and stuff like that?? another q, the knock sensor is messed up how can you fix that problem?? i took it to autozone to see why my check engine light was on and the maf sensor came up the knock sensor came up and the iat sensor or valve i can't remember what they told me. and he revved it to 3 grand at idle and i heard a squelling sound that hurt my ears, my friend says it is a belt but i've checked all the belts and they all have good tension...and i just replaced my alternator belt.

the squeel sounds like a belt to me as well. the check engine light is on due to the maf and the iat sensors. the knock sensor wont turn on the engine light.

on the battery terminals you want to make sure the 2 large connectors are not corroded and have good contact.

i've always thought it was my brakes making that noise and i only heard it in first gear when i was taking off quick so maybe this has been a problem....as for the terminals both are good no corrosion anywhere and the red clip fiting is just fine and all connections are good no wires hanging out...but how can i fix my knock sensor problem?? my check engine light hasn't come on since they tested it yesterday i went back and recliped the iat and maf sensors and they're just fine...

another question, where are the mounting places for the cold air intake?? i have 2 3-4 inch pieces of metal with different size screw holes on each end and my intake is resting on my radiator and it gets very hot!! and kind of defeats the pupose of cold air intake when my stock intake was getting colder air... i've heard one goes around the throttle body and the other goes around the radiator shroud....does anyone with cold air on their 96 240sx have pics they could show me on where to mount this intake....thx

replace the knock sensor and its sub harness to fix that. I dont know where the cold air intake is mounted ,never installed one.

Can someone please give this guy some idea of what he needs as far as his cold air intake!!!
