hey guys im new to this forum and i just recently purchased my 89 240 sx coupe (shell) and it needs alot of work on its own but i have very limited funds so i bought a rb20det hoping for the most power for the buck but i only purchased the motor, transmission, wiring harness (uncut), and ecu. Most of the stuff on the engine was cut ie all the hoses and the throttle cable and it didnt come with a maf either. I am trying to perchase a rb25det radiator at the moment and duel fans but i cant seem to find a good maf that doesnt look like it was ran over with a truck then drug down the street. i was wondering how do i get a new throttle cable and is there anyway i can get the hoses for this motor so i dont have to cut and search every part store for stuff to work. If anyone can help that will be great. Please dont burn me to bad for this, this is my first engine swap and after driving a r32 skyline gtr in germany i really need a turbo car and so i just went for it.

My single cam throttle cable went right onto my RB20 swap when I 1st did it.The stick's at the top will help you with your swap such as the wiring. zerothread?id=92829If u had a GTR before and going to this is going to be a let down since stock turbo sucks, and injectors are small. U might want to start saving for a turbo and injector upgrade to get some more hp to make it feel normal for you.

Ohh yeah change the water lines under your intake manifold. They are old rubber and prob will fail on you a few months down the road. it's easier to do it now vs later but thats up to you. Ohh also timing belt, water pump, tensioner idler pulley all the good stuff to keep your motor going longer.

thanks for the help i will be looking at you for more help in the future i have a mckinneys engine mount set and the motor will be going in soon i just am having a problem with the person who is holding my car for me because i live in a condo i cant do the work here but any other info will be helpful man i just want to do this right the first time i even have a bride zeta 1 SEAT from japan i got it for free from my friend in germany it will go in soon.

hey, i just replaced my stock radiator with a godspeed one, it was like 220 shipped, the overflow nipple was on the wrong side though, but a longer hose fixed it easier than shipping it back. i have my rb25 radiator still, but its got some gunk inside and of course some bent fins. let me know if the other one falls through, i could use the extra work bench space!

If the inlet and outlet are on the same side but the nipple is going the other way it might be for a S14.

i do have an s14, its facing the same way as the inlet ( i'm guessing the s13's do that then?), to the passenger side. i figured hell, for $220 shipped from godspeed, i didnt really care. oh, and nissanlover, what kinda maf were you wanting? i have a couple of those stored away too, dont remember what kinds, but if someone needed them i would check.

any one that will work man i really dont care at the moment i just want to get it running first then i will start to mod it thats just the way i work i have to get a ground base first then build from there but if you can get me one that will work that will be great and i have a godspeed about 15 min from my house just havent gone there yet.

ya how much do u want for that rb25 radiator man i will take it off your hands i will just flush it and hit it with a fin comb and it should be good as new.

Yup sounds like a S13 radiator.

Ebay has cheap front mount intercooler and prob intercooler kits.

well i just got my car to my place and i started to prep the engine bay for the motor to go in it has some cancer on the frame but i am about to weld a 3/4 in steel plate in its place after i cut it out and it has alot of surface rust that i am easly sanding off then i will be spraying the engine bay gloss black but its not bad for a 89 and its a coupe you just dont see them as often as a fastback if anyone has anymore advice for me it will be much appreciated.
