So I didn't want my first post to be about this, was planning on fixing it up before i posted.i've been lurking the forums for awhile, but anyways.. got into a minor accident about 30 minutes ago...... don't even wanna talk about it.. anyways any suggestions on how to fix this? theres no dents, and i don't wanna claim it for insurance since its already pretty high.. it's seems like the paint just got scratched ($190ish)

that would be a lot of touch up pen and would look really bad. if you want something temporary then do that. otherwise just take it to a local bodyshop and ask them to paint the fascia for you, looks like that's the only thing that's damaged.. it'll be cheaper than claiming it under your insurance. they'll have to paint the whole thing though, they can't just do a section.

if you plan on getting new front fascia, you could always juts leave it, it's only on the bumper which will not rust.

Is that black someone else's paint? Because if it is you will be able to buff it out. It will take a lot of polish, time and effort though even if you have an orbital buffer.

If it is a scratch down tot he plastic then your best bet is to get the entire fascia repainted. Whatever you do, do not take it to the dealer. Then will charge you probably 3 to 5x or what an independent shop would do it for.

I had this scuff thing that I buffed out no problem(just took a while). Still have absolutely no clue what it was from. I thought for a while backing out of my grandmothers driveway I backed into one of the cars that was parallel parked on t he other side of the road since its like a one lane city road, but the next time I went there the car I thought I backed into was tan and the scuff was white.

And after . . .

I think the "black" is the primer.. the car that i scratched my car on is dark green.

Your best bet is a new fender or a re-paint- you have a lot of paint chipped out on that, and painting the urethane bumper is not like painting a metal panel on your car - the whole wet sanding process is different. It's just a tough place...
