ok guys I need some help. My car has no low-end torque.when the turbo spools up it runs great. I have changed the plugs and i think i got the vacuum right...its at 15... I dont know if its maybe coils or what. it acts like it has a miss fire. what sensers should i check?....oh wait i dont have any codes...except for 34...things that i am going to check are coils and injectors...a thought that i just had is maybe my car has bigger injectors then stock...I never checked that...The ECU was from Sean so i am sure its setup for stock....that is something to think about.

anyways any help would be great

Tim

Welcome to the world of the CA brother. I've killed my CA more times in the last week than I've killed my car in the last 2 years. It's pretty worthless down low. But outside of that, did you make sure that your butterfly valves are working? If not, that might kill your low end as that is what they are there for.

Mine was real stiff when I first got it and I could see how it might have been sticking if I hadn't cleaned it out before it went in the car.

I dont think that is my problem....I am leaning towards the injectors....I called in sick today for work so i can work on it today see if i cant get her running right....also the only thing that can be leaking oil from the back of the engine are the valve covers right? I dont see anything else back there that it could be. Please correct me if i am wrong

maybe the rear main seal, but my guess would be the valve cover. check those bolts. i need to do the same im told. you have to remember, the CA is a little 1.8 it is absolutely useless for low end torque. well, i guess the turbo does spool in the low end doesnt it. well, below 2.5 its pretty slow. it needs help starting off in 2nd gear. but if it feels like a misfire, check the coils and ignitor and plugs and stuff generally affiliated with ignition.

DET sensor for sure. Check the cable and connection also(these are often the culprits).

Make sure you stop the compter from flshing code 34 because that alone will shut you down.

i thought that it was ok to run without the DET sensor hooked up....I guess i will start looking for the thread about hooking that up and get that taken care of tomorrow. and tell me a little more about these butterfly valves....I didn't check them today but i guess it can't hurt to take a look at them and see whats going on there. is it common for the CA to shoot fire out the exhaust? all i have for exhaust is a straight 2 1/2 inch pip going to my muffler in the back. The fire is what is making me think injectors but if thats common then i wont worry about it

try running 17-20 BTDC on your timming also recheck all your intercooler connections, the gasket on the turbo elbow, and try cleaning the AAC valve, and clean the MAF with some electrical cleaner! MAFs can cause you to come very very very very very close to just flooring that pedal and see how long it can bounce itself off the rev limiter
