Welcome to NICO

I'd like to speak to your dad is he thinking?

Sorry but an 18 year old should gain driving experience on a less expensive and less powerful vehicle first. Whats wrong with a stick shift Altima for a couple of years. Wouldn't your dad want you to reach my age without the possibility of rapping an expensive vehicle around a pole in the first heavy rain, ice or snow storm?

Have you or your dad checked insurance rates?

Male, under 25 driving a 300+ HP vehicle = $$$$$Have one accident or get one ticket = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Oh well what the hell do I know? I'm just an old farht here.

Just my $.02

I take offense to that... I am 22 and a male . I think I am pretty mature for my age and can handle my car fine...

I work 50 hours a week and take my car to the drag strip when i really want to push it. Most months my car doesn't exceed 60 mph.

Now about an 18 year old. I didn't get my license until I was 18 so I was a little crazy at 18. Specially when I bought my second car. A supercharged buick regal that I raised hell with.

I had a Monte Carlo in HS that was putting down about 400 to the wheels, handled worse the the G37 and the brakes sucked. I went into the service and at 18 bought a Forumla 350. The G is safer and handles better then both of those vehicles. I've been in NO accidents and have become a pretty damn good driver.

Asking what a persons Dad is thinking is rude and obnoxious...you don't know this guy at all yet you're going to make blanket judgements based on your opinion alone. Way to welcome a new member to Nico... Judge others a little less please. If he is taught to drive and has been raised responsibly he'll be fine.

No disrespect was intended with my post.

I just see too many young people losing their lives because of either poor judgement or stupid mistakes.

Well I can remember when I was eighteen a long time ago with my crappy 58 Ford and because I was a little crazy at that age is why I wrote what I did. I'm glad to hear you are now a mature 22 year old. When I was 22 I received my draft notice.edge2794 is one very lucky 18 year old to be getting a G for his first car.Prior to getting my first car, I had to walk 5 long blocks to HS after getting off the bus

As usually the thread has been hijacked lol, but to answer your question the sport model only comes in 6MT but you could get the journey and just add the sport package as was mentioned above.

VERY lucky indeed.

My first car was a 93 Pontiac Grand Am that i had to buy my self. It had sat for about a year before I bought it. The engine was horrible. It would cut off when you would slow down. Needless to say i ran alot of stop signs and red lights just so my car wouldn't die. When it cut off and you started it back up and tried to put it in drive it would cut off again. Pretty useless as a vehicle. Not to mention it was missing a pin in the steering column so the steering wheel would jerk up and down.

The car came with 4 dry rotted tires. They blew on the way to get the car inspected.

A hole in the radiator.

Leaked every time it ran, and smelled musty.

I eventually limped the car to a dealership and they gave me $600 for it when i got the regal.
