help!!

i have a 03 sentra spec v and just got my fuel pumped changed about 3 months ago but i have a problem and dont know what it could be. im driving and out of no were my rpm stops works and like it wants to turn of and then it goes back to normal.

wow..lol i had/have the same problem..lol i have a 03 too and my tach stops completely then like a few seconds later it comes up...my check engine light came on and everything after that...but i think mine was the crankshaft sensor..well it may be that..lol. it may be just loose plug.. i dont know much lol but i know thats happening to me too! i actually bought the part today...

Knock sensor, crank sensor, and ECU are all common issues.

Does the engine continue running while the tach shuts off?

it dosent shut off the rpm just falls down and it wont eccelarate for like 3 to 5 sec

Call a dealer and have them run your VIN for recalls. Seems to be an ECU issue to me, and some cars are subject to free replacement of that part.
