Car: nissan s13 240sx

So I have a nissan s13 240sx w/ sr20det. I was going to go for a drive and i couldnt shift into any of the gears. When i tried shifting into reverse, i got half way and it made a bad grinding noise. so i tried starting it in reverse and it could barely idle. so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
