help!!!

I have a 1989 240sx that i destroyed a head gasket in and i started to take it apart, I got the Exhaust Manifold off but I cannot seem to get the intake Manifold off of the head. It's been like this for about three months and i jest found this web site so if you Nissan gods could point me in the right direction in fixing my problem like a very detailed FAQ or something i would be ever so happy to not have to drive a ford festiva to work! Also while the head is off what can i do to it to make it faster!!!

it's easiest to leave the manifold on and pull it all as one unit...

have the head checked and milled by a shop, this will raise your compression slightly. Also you can have the head proted.
