I can guarantee this will be the last time you will forget to put the shims away, arranged properly.

Its going to be a little bit of work and trial/error. I assume you dont have the factory nissan tool to push down the bucket (to remove shim) when the cams are installed, so you are going to need to remove the cams multiple times.

Install all shims arranged with your best guess, and install cams. Torque the caps to spec and then go thru each shim with a feeler gauge. The spec you want to be is .011-.013" , you will have to keep swapping the shims around untill you get it right. Find the ones that are wider tolerance than .013" and the ones that are tighter than .011" and swap them around untill all are consistent.

And btw, to check the lash, or tolerance, you need to rotate the cams so that the lobe is opposite the bucket when measuring.

Edit: I also assume you dont have a mic (micrometer), if you know how to use one of these it can come in handy to measure the thickness of each shim. It will give you a better idea of what needs to go where during the process.

Micrometer, not to be confused with caliper (like vernier caliper).

No, thats why you dont mix up your shims.
