I DROVE FROM NORTH CAROLINA TO WASHINGTON STATE IN MY 96 240SX.NOW MY CAR IS LEAKING COOLANT. IT ONLY LEAKS WHEN I'M NOT DRIVING, AFTER THE CAR HAS BEEN PARK FOR A FEW HOURS. I'M HAVING TO PUT COOLANT IN IT EVERY TWO OR THREE DAYS! I REMOVED THE UNDER-BELLY PANEL AND STILL CANT SEE WHERE IT LEAKING FROM. IT APPEARS TO BE SOMEWHERE NEAR THE WATER PUMP, BUT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE THE WATER PUMP. THE SPLATTER DID GET ON SOME OF THE HOSES, BELTS, AND A LITTLE ON THE SIDE OF THE PUMP, THAT'S WHY I DON'T THINK ITS THE WATER PUMP. IT WAS OVER HEATING WHEN THE COOLANT WOULD LEAK OUT. AND IT WAS IDLING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN 0 AND 1000 RPMS. I TOOK OUT THE THERMOSTAT THINKING IT MIGHT BE STICKING. THE IDLING AND OVER HEATING STOPPED , BUT THE LEAKING HAS NOT. I HAVE A NEW WATER PUMP THAT I BOUGHT FOR SAFE KEEPING. I JUST MOVED HERE, NO JOB YET, SO I DON'T REALLY WANT TO PAY A MECHANIC TO REPLACE THE PUMP, IF ITS NOT THE PUMP. COULD IT BE A HOSE ISSUE? IT SEEMS LIKE SOMETHING SIMPLE. PLEASE SEND YOUR KNOWLEDGE! OR JUST GIVE ME SOME IDEAS OR THING TO LIOOK FOR...PLEASE!

Asia, You come in here and crap all over in my forum again like you did today, causing me to go around different threads wiping your a$$, I will make a personal request to have your butt banned!!. That was totally uncalled for and completely disrepectful of the other members trying to fix their cars. DO NOT do it again!!

Now with the unpleasantries out of the way. Go buy a coolant pressure tester or loan one from an autozone and pressurize your system. Look for where the coolant sprays out. that will be the source of your leak and the repair you need to make.

You're a mean A** F*****.Maybe you don't know what's it's like to be 3000k miles from home (alone) and trying to get back while trying to get the car that you searched and worked your *** off for, back home with you! Sorry I didn't post my "THREAD" in a "PC manner that was suitable for you, but I needed help! And I flooded some or the other rooms hoping that some would respond. Seeing how no one seemed to give a damn, except one person that told me to push the damn thing!!!!! I thought that us Nissan people were supposed to have one anothers backs? Thanks for the advice (I'll try it), but considering that you don't even know how to speak to a lady, I'll wait to hear from someone more civilized and equivalently educated. Maybe you should spend less time with your car and brush up on your skills with the ladies! Us U.S. girls don't take to that sort S***!

And un-be-known to you. I offer help about the things that I do know, but I almost never get the advice that I need on nico. It's been 50/50 Sorry about the earlier comment, but you pissed me off. I need help not negative critism. I'm never had a mechanic work on my car before. I've always done it myself and with friends. I take offense when people are rude to me for doing something that I had no idea would be so offensive.

He was talking about pushing the CAPS LOCK button on your keyboard, not your car ... please look at the post again if you are unclear about that.

In the meantime, NISTECH gave you the following advice: Quote » Go buy a coolant pressure tester or loan one from an autozone and pressurize your system. Look for where the coolant sprays out. that will be the source of your leak and the repair you need to make.[/quote]Unfortunately, no one can make an educated guess that would be more meaningful without looking at the car.

Given the circumstances, I can understand that. Hope it works out for you.

Do find an Autozone or similar auto store - some of them lend such tools out for free.

There was some logic to my madness. I only posted rooms that had sim issues. Hoping maybe they had came across my problem. Sorry dude had to wipe my A**. Although some people enjoy that kinda thing

I treat every one with equal hand. You however were the first to come in this forum and flood it with the same post in multiple threads that were not about your vehicle and your problem. I had to go through every thread that wasnt yours and clean it up. I do not enjoy nor have the free time for that.

I do not need lessons on how to treat a lady. I have been married to my first wife for 14 yrs. lived under the same roof for 16. My "dating" days are over. So I have no need to treat you any different then I do the males on this site in the hopes to "score".

I did not tear you up and then leave you with no good advice I warned you then gave you the BEST possible advice for your situation.

You may not have had a mechanic work on your car but you came and asked for ones advice. Which I gave you.I sincerely hope you get your car fixed and find your way back to NC.

Additionally, I never mentioned the fact you typed in caps as I suspected it might have been on a PDA or cell phone. But after I posted I noticed you had followed up in a couple other threads in lower case, suggesting your werent. So please refrain from using caps through your entire posts. Its just annoying.
