well i need to know if the ka24de head (duel overhead cam from a 94 240) will directly bolt to my 1990 block. i want to switch heads...i want the duel overhead instead of the single. now i know my 90 comes with the 2.4 ka24e and i just need to know if they are compatible and what major adjustments if any i might need to do during this head swap. do i need to adjust the ecu? will the newer head bolt directly on the air intake manifold and exuast manifold? please help!

incorrect.

you can put a dual cam head on a single cam block, but it's not a bolt on affair.

first off, you compression ratio will become 11.1:1.

then, you'll have to figure out how to get the chains to work.

and you'll need to use the DOHC intake and exaust manifolds.

It's a fun project not worth it IMO.it gives oyu either 11.1 or 11.7 compression doesn't it?Depend on what SOHC piston you got...I know there is 2 write-ups about it.Search I'm too tired,,,,falling out of my chair.Good luck if you do it.

You've lost me...It's SOHC block correct? And putting a dohc head on it? Or you put SOHC pistons into a DOHC block? With the DOHC head

Putting a DOHC head on an SOHC is the same compression result as putting SOHC pistons in a DOHC engine.

Ive seen Sohc pistons in a Dohc long-block. I have never seen a Sohc block with a Dohc head.

Are you telling me to search? If ish does not line up right, then why would I search for something that I think would not work in the first place.
