Ok first I have done some searching but I cant seem to find the exact anwser I need... ok Heres my questions. I want to buy the boostdesigns stage 1 kit on my 98 240.. only got 50k miles on it. I was wondering what psi I could run it at safely on my completely stock engine about 6 or 7 psi I would guess or if I should replace some upper engine parts. And also what all else Ill need with the kit if I remember right fuel management and gauges.

nooo wayy thats impossible that you couldnt find anything!

just run it 8psi because you can run it off the wastegate. you can run a FMU with the stock injectors and your good to go. a lot of people have done this with no problems. however its not recomended to go past 8psi with an FMU. i think 10 at most?

So basically get the kit leave the internals stock and run it about 7psi (I cant afford another enigne :P) Also pick up a gauge and a FMU also Ill probably be picking up an Apex N1 3" exhaust and Hotshot headers. So all that and ill be looking about 3 grand?

you dont need headers...thats for NA

turbo cars use Turbo manifolds and it is included in the BD kit stage 1, assuming your going to get that

honestly you are not quite ready yet to put a turbo on. it can get very expensive if you dont know what you are doing.

to answer your questions better the amount of boost your run depends on proper tunning and the turbo. with the right fuel system and engine management anywhere from 16-20psi, to be more specific 400rwhp is the limit of the stock ka untouched. the safe limit to me is in the 350-375rwhp range

also make sure you add a walbro 255lph high pressue fuel pump

Unless things have changed since I last looked, the downpipe included with the BD Stage 1 kit *will not* connect to your Apexi exhaust. You'd need to either fab a custom downpipe or get the BD Exhaust, which I believe runs without a catalytic converter.
