A few months ago, I got my RB25 running. I setup a blow-thru maf on the cold side of the fmic. In third gear, at around 2500 rpm, when I go wide open and go from 0 to 10 psi, the engine just cuts out drastically and feels like it hit some kind of boost cut. yesterday, i moved the maf back to original position by the filter and it still does it! any ideas to what my problem is? its only running 10 psi! shouldnt be a boost cut.

UHH you think that could be causing a problem?

dude first of all its a bigger engine with more injectors and a turbo. so that in itself should warrant a fuel pump upgrade, THEN you are upping the boost?

i have a sard fpr and walbro 255 waiting to go in, but its all stock right now. i didn't see any hurry in putting them in however, because my friend's rb25 has been running a completely stock fuel system now for months and he never has experienced this problem.

lol... My friend thought the same thing about his Sr20. It was pimp **** and pretty fast... went for a couple of months too. Then he decided to play russian roulette with the boost controller, kicked it up to 1 bar, went lean on cylinder 4 and melted a hole through the piston when we thought he had a blown head gasket. boost cut? Don't let it do it again or youre going to be replacing a motor. Put the fuel pump in, goto courtesyparts.com and get a regulator and you are all set if you haven't screwed anything up yet... Tisk tisk.
