so my stereo was stolen about a weeek ago they broke in my car and just ripped it all out.
so now i need help putting in the new one.
i looked up some charts but they didnt seem to help

my car is gutted and the back speakers werent conected or working but the front ones did
91 hatch

so i basically connected the wires with like colors


but then i ran into a problem because these colors didnt match



maybe these have something to do with them... wat exactly are these for..??

Well you likely don't have a ground hooked up. The stock s13 harness doesn't have a ground in it, So hook up your black wire to chassis ground. Then get a multimeter and verify that you have 12 volts on the constant yellow, and the switched red wire.

Also try and solder your wires and not just tape like that.

yea i know it has to do with the ground cuz last nightt i shoved it in there and it caght a current and was playing for a second or two,
ok so how do you go about grounding itt wat do i use to do it..??

and wat about those wires..?
the dimmer and illumination?
are they not important cuzz the stereo turned on yest??

your black wire off of your deck has to go to chassis ground on your vehicle. Easiest hting to do is to scrape some paint off and get a self tapping screw and screw it in, otherwise you can find a bolt nearby and scrape away the paint and bolt it to it.
