alright, i have a ca in my s13 that ran until the cas came loose. I had it running on its own and one day i went to try to start it and it didnt start. i saw the loose cas and retightened it where it was before (using the marks the bolts left) and it would not start. it kinda starts on starter fluid, running at EXTREMELY low rpm (100-200) barely turning over. its getting fuel going into the fpr, the starter fluid is igniting so its getting spark, but it wont run. obviously setting the timing would help but i cant if the engine isnt running.anyone have any ideas?thanks!!-alex

just double checked the plugs and they look fried. they are coated in black soot and look worn. they were set to almost the correct gap (.045 rather than .044) when they sparked they shot sparks sideways instead of out of the tip. im gonna replace them and see what happensi also set the engine the tdc and the crank pulley was at the second mark (0 deg) which is where its supposed to be...anyone got any other ideas?????

My vote is toasted CAS or the splines in the exhaust cam either spun loose, or broke off. Common problem. One of the reason's I went standalone actually.
