help: sr20det red top taking more than 5 months

this is the history the last year (november 07) i finally save money to do a sr swap i start looking for a shop (nor-cal) i talk to this guy in enduromotorsport (3hours from my location ) that he offers me a swap for $2500 the same price that get quote in los angeles (6 hours drive from my location) but this guy offers me to pick up and drop the car in my house, and for that reason i decide to do it with him, he said the car wil be ready in 2 weeks but after 2 weeks i notice something weird he start with a lot excuses like "i have my mechanics in training, is holiday season, etc." , after 2 months the excuses was "im doing a balance on the piston(i know is weird) i need to modified the clutch lines, the harness in not right" and stuff i let go like that phone call an a excuses every time until last week that i get tired (i have a lot patience) that he said the car is ready he told me is ready to delivery by l friday but it never happens i call him around 9 pm he told me that is on the way but the trailer has a flat tired becouse he was delivering 2 cars (the trailer is only for one) that he was in a town that is a bout 15 mins for my location and he cant find road service i call my friend that he owns a road assistance/tire shop bussines and we went where he told us he was guess what, nothing he was lying i call him again he never answer next day i leave a voice mail saying i need my car by today or im going get legal assistance, he just told " do whatever you want to do"

i need help where can to get help with this, what is the best way to resolve this

I would go to his shop and pic the car up myself. If he doesn't let you call the police and tell him that he has stolen your car. Btw do this next time you get with him on the phone and record the conversation through a voice recorder. Ask him his full name where he lives etc.. this way you have proof if police ever needed it

i had a similar prob with a shop out here in VA. i eventually got my car back with all the work done. it took 4 months, but i also knew where the shop was and droped it off there.

i know where is the shop located im been there before im just trying to take this to the legal way

Like the dude said above, show up and if its a no go... call the police.

You really should have been coming to the shop every week to see the progress and what really needs done, and if you saw something fishy, get it outta there quick.

I don't trust many people these days... and you shouldn't either
