ive managed to start my car but after a minute or two it dies. When the car is on it idles, but when you step on the gas pedal, it seems like the car isnt getting any fuel. Can it be the MAF?? or Any other sensor? If you guys can think of anyting it can be plz feel free to let me know.

Also, when i checked my oil, the oil is milky, the guy says that it can be signs of a blown head gasket. How would i make sure its actually a blown head gasket. Note: i havent chaged the oil from when i bought the engine.

well for the car not ideling i think its most likely a maf prblem or fuel problem. As for the milky oil, yes im pretty sure your HG is blown cause the milkyness if from coolant/water mixing with your oil. Get a upgraded Metal HG if you plan to up the boost and throw some ARP headbolts in while your at it.

well ive taken it to a shop that specialize in hondas and thats what they think too. Also i have the j4 ecu and i think that the guy who did my wires hooked my wire up to the other blacktop ecus. What exactly do i have to change if you know. I am running a Ka maf at the moment, do i have to tune the ecu to run with the ka maf, or should i be fine? As for the hg ill upgrade it to a Greddy one and get better studs. thnx

Well the car acutally idles, but when the throttle is opened, the car dies. I eas talking to some guy and he says i can get a sr maf but it wouldnt work unless i have the right ecu, is that right or any s13 maf would work on the car.

SOHC maf from a KA will work with no modifactions or ECU flashing needed.

Yes your HG is gone. To solidify the reality of it, do a compression test and if one cylinder or more cylinders are low, it'd be official.

As far as it dying, that's probably from the blown head gasket. I'd recommend that when you have the head pulled for the head gasket have the deck and head checked for warping.

One thing people need to remember when they buy an SR. These motors were found in junked cars for a reason. Gone are the days that a motor was junked because the car was totalled. We're now down to the mechanical failure lots. I've seen more and more motors recently (SRs RBs CAs etc) that are getting sidelined due to mechanical issues.
