350Z Nissan 2005

Hi, I have a 350Z Nissan 2005 and everytime I start my car, I hear a squeaking noise coming from the engine. I've been doing some research and looking around and I think it might be my timing belt. I took a look at my timing belt and it looks kinda crack also. Does anyone knows if the timing belt can be the cause of the noise it's making? Also, I'm already planning on replacing the timing belt because it's cracked, does anyone know if it's difficult to replace the timing belt on this type of car? It it's not, I'd rather do it myself then take it to the shop because it's probably going to be too expensive. Does anyone have a step by step guide or diagram (the diagram would help soo much more!!) that I can take a look at (I've looked around and haven't found any)?

Thanks so much!!

Replace the PCV valve. I've had similar problems with a Saturn, I even had to replace a whole motor because it consumed too much oil. I discovered that the new engine was doing the same thing. After replacing the PCV, everything was back to normal. I hope this helps.

your Timing belt should not squeak it has teeth and therefore shouldnt slip if it did slip your car would run like garbage its probably your serpentine belt(if 350's came with them) if not its one of the others Ex: Alt., Power steering, or AC but i can assure you its NOT your timing belt

i don't want to sound like some type of wise guy but the VQ in the 350z has a timing chain driven valvetrain.....
