Help speedometer problem

hi i own a 1993 300ZX 2+2 and my speedometer doesnt work, i have put in a new speedsensor and the needle still doesnt move. does anyone know how to fix this? And also my security light on my dash keeps blinking, i took it in to a local shop and they said it was because of the driver side door lock being broken does anyone know how to fix that too?

i have speedometer problems too on my 90 tt conversion. when it's cold the needle just lies there and when i'm driving on the freeway randomly it will dip out again and pop back up to the correct speed.

former owner said replace speed sensor. he said it's easy and just one bolt under the car - is that true?

i'll be interested to find out what is wrong with yours if replacing the speed sensor doesn't work on mine.

sidenote, my tach still works along with the other gauges on the instrument panel.

i think the speed sensor is just one bolt, i dont know how hard it is to install because kr motorsports did the install when i had them install my clutch i think it should be easy though he did everything in under 4 or 5 hours the clutch and the speed sensor. all my gauges work but my speedometer, it doesnt want to move at all.

thanks, sorry about your speedometer. yeah i'm in michigan and its been pretty cold lately though it's warming up. it's been around 40 degrees the last few days. but i don't have a garage and there are things i have been waiting to do.
