I mounted my 6 x 9 speakers directly into the door panel so I wouldn't have to use the ugly active speaker grills...I'll dig up a picture..most likley you will have to cut some metal out of the door...just don't door..just don't do too much..just enough to make the speaker fit....then you can use the grills that come with your speakers-

I mounted the speakers by put small pieces of wood so as to support the speakers instead of just screwing into the door panel-

edit- I'll take pics tommorow if you wanna see-

But pics are totally welcomed if possible.. oh yea, and wat did u guys use to fill up the rest of the space in the door panel cuz after cuttin it up, they're be excess space.. due to different sizes.. anyways thx for the help guys. Also, where did u place the speaker for ur components? thx

I also use 6x9 tri axle's in my doors. I feel it keeps the weight down by providing a decent sounding speaker without using a seperate amp/sub. careful trimming and screw placement at angles will get teh speaker to grab the metal instead of the paper door. I then sealed off teh bottom of the door with REAL ducting tape. Take your time... see where the screw needs to be placed... then drill and use a long enough screw. Do all of this with the window down so you know you'll have clearence.

But yes, they do fit.
