help somebody... sr20det bog out.. and black smoke..

i have a problem with my nissan 240sx 1991 sr20det swap.. my car is idling werid.. like its choking on and shaking.. and when i try to rev above 2500 rpms it limits me.. and black smoke come out?? what could be the problem.. but the car drive fine and starts up fine.. it just the idle and the choking on while its idling... i switched out the sr maf with the stock ka to see if that was the problem and i also changed the sparkplugs.. but still the same problem? does anyone know whats wrong and help me ?? thanks...

I don't know if the KA and SR maf are interchangeable - I would guess that they aren't.

Sounds like your maf is bad, the black smoke is from your car running rich because it is basically in a limp mode and trying to keep itself from detonating.

their not interchangeable that's because the plugs are different b/c i switched over form sr plug and sr maf. to ka plug and ka maf.. they are wired the same. thats because i got it from a freind of mines that ran that with his sr20det 240sx.. he upgraded to 300z maf.. could it still be the maf? and i still have the same problem.?
