Engine oil and ATF are entirely different colors at least (also smell). If it is ATF, it will be red ... (not like engine oil at all. So you can check that relatively easily, I'd think.

Dur.

I'm aware of this. However, any time that I've checked the ground, I can't really get a suitable amount from the porous asphalt to transfer to my digit to check.

Both fluids check in at the correct levels. I've checked the ATF hot and cold and the motor oil hot and cold as well. In the driveway and the parking lot. Right on the street as well.

Haitian,

I have come across the TCS and ABS light issue before myself. If you're not aware the ABS sensors, IF FAILING, will cause both the ABS and TCS lights to both come on. Reason being, the TCS and ABS both work off the same sensors monitoring what looks like a trigger wheel for any sudden stops and etc. If these sensors are failing for whatever reason, you can see both lights illuminate.

I'm going to pretend for a moment that it's not a case of ABS failure. Such an incident would just about break my heart.

After doing some research, it seems that when both TCS and SLIP lights are illuminated during driving, the most likely problem will be found in the relays. I took a look in there, but couldn't seem to locate it. Oh well. It hasn't happened since I made this thread. I've stopped worrying about it.

What happened to the cardboard you were using?

The cardboard didn't show anything. Odd because I keep seeing fresh spots on the ground. Called Keith today and told him about it. I couldn't make a concrete appointment because he estimated 2 days for inspection and repair. He's not open on Saturdays and my only really free day is Friday.

I don't see any breaks coming up this month for school so I'm not too sure on what'll happen. The semester ends in May, so I may have to just monitor my levels until then and endure the f-ing #6 injector. I think at the same time, I'll have my A/C checked out and have my Q "summerized". I still have about $800 left in my annual $3k budget. I think I may have some more stretch because I didn't spend close to that much for 2007. (I wasn't as wise back then.)
