Ive been trying to setup my Neo with a cobra maf and was curious of the sensor settings (1 in, 1 out/ 2 in, 2 out...?). I cant seem to find anyone with this setup. I am able to make the air/fuel mixture richer, but not able to lean it out. My car idles very rich, even setting it at -50 at the 500-1500rpm range. Its like there is no difference between 0 and -50. Am I missing something?? Any help would be appreciated!! I am using a JWT ecu, 50lb injectors, cobra maf, aeromotive fpr set a stock fuel pressure.

I'm using the Z32 MAF, when I used the recommended "In" "Out" settings I completely changed them pre-tune. I'd just play with it if I were you to see how it runs, if you dont have a Wideband hooked up it's hard to tell just by feeling the car itself. Sorry if this didnt help!

Have you had any issues with leaning out the a/f mixture? Just curous, what settings did you end up using?

Cobra MAF's will not work with SAFC on the SR20 ecu....

ONLY Jim Wolf Tech ECU's accept the Cobra/Lightnign MAF's

PS: Save your cash for a JWT/Enthalpy ECU and you'll be much happier. Sell that AFC to some DSM kid who can actually use it.

I am using a JWT ECU on a KA-T with the neo to fine tune it. Anyone know if there is a problem with using the neo with a JWT tune or a neo with a cobra maf?

Yea, it's trash. I'd never use any AFC on a pre programed ECU.

Your best bet would be datalog a dyno run, send JWT your information, and get another chip burned if you're looking for a better tune....

I know this thread is mad old, but i have a question relating to it...

My plans are KA-T... I had planned on using an aftermarket ecu flash (JWT/Enthalpy) with an AFC to fine tune as well... why is this an ineffective form of tuning? I know AFC's suck as a form of tuning by themselves, but when used in conjunction with a JWT ecu, shouldnt you be able to get the a/f's pretty dang close to where you want them? What is the main downfall of the AFC?

The advantage I see to an AFC is that I could bring the car to my tuner and have it tuned on a dyno with it. With the alternative suggestion, I'd have to send my engine specs out, get a chip burnt, and re-dyno. If the tune isnt where I want it... I'd have no way of adjusting, right? I'd have to send the ECU out again and have the tune changed. That seems like a pain in the a** to me. Or am I missing something?
