HELP. Seat belt problem

I recently bought a 89 240sx. I have a wierd problem, the drivers side seat belt wont work, it doesnt go back. The passenger side seatbelt works fine. What could the problem be?

goto nissan dealer... lifetime warranty on those pesky dayum automatic passive seatbelt system...

if your model dosent have the life time warrenty coverage and you have to fix it your self check the limit switchs at either end of the track thats usually the cause and are offered at the dealer ship seperatly

not all seat belts are covered by the"lifetime warrenty" that warrenty only applies to certain model/year nissans.

Does anyone know which models/years of Nissans have the lifetime warranty on the automatic seatbelt system? Would my 1990 240 have it, for example? :-)

the best way to find out is to contact your local dealer and have them run your vin # on their DCS it will give them a print out on what is covered and what isnt. note though if your car holds a salvage title and it is more then 10 yrs old it will have been removed from their system and nothing is covered.

my 89 coupe said in the manual that it had lifetime warranty on the seatbelts i all 240s have the warranty
