My 1990 240 sx won't start and I've done all I know to do. Hoping some one can give me some advice. This is what I have checked so far. 1. The battery is good and all battery connections are good. 2. The old starter checked out as faulty so I replaced it with a new one. Thought my problems were solved but this changed nothing. Turn the key and nothing happens. All the bells ding, seat belts run their routes lights and everything else electrical appears to work. 3. By passed the clutch switch...nothing. 4. Checked all the fuses and relays I knew to check....not a damn thing! 5. Checked the ignition switch that runs from the left side of the steering column to the plug under the dash. It checked out fine. 6. I can start the car under these circumstances.... I pulled the ignition switch (same as mentioned above) from a donor car, wired it to the starter lead and taped it to a hose. I turn the key to "on", raise the hood, and turn the switch (the one under the hood) with a screw driver and the car will start. This is obviously a pain in the *** and I can run a toggle switch to inside the car if I have to but I really prefer to use a key.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
