Hey gang,

We're starting an SR swap today, but I the upper water neck on the S13 SR20 engine is shot... cracked both on the hose end as well as the housing where it connects to the block.

We called the supplier of the engine and they said they would get us a new one. But it hasn't arrived yet.

Is there any way to replace this part quickly? Is it similar to the fwd sr engine water necks?

The only thing I can think of to do is weld the crap out of it and hope it holds for a little while until the new one comes.. Otherwise.. we'll be able to get the engine in the car, but not ever fire it up.. which sucks!!

Any ideas??? Thanks guys!

I had to get mine welded for the same reason that you needed yours done. I just took it to a guy, and he just welded an extension sort of thing on it. It's not the perfect angle, but it works.
