Help replacing injector #4 and #6

Hello, all

I got a diagnostic ran on my car and it reported injectors on cylinder #4 and #6 where not working properly. I gonna replace these myself. Does anyone have a guide or can anyone provide tips on how to get to these injectors.

What year model do you have? 90-92 Non turbos and 90-94(i think) turbos have crappy injector connectors. Check them for corrosion first, clean them up put some dialetric grease on them and it should work alot better. happened to me when i bought my z. To replace them you would have to do a plenum pull, or the dremel method. Try cleaning the corrision off first and if that doesn't work i'll get you some links to how to replace injectors.

Great advice, on addition would be ohm test the injectors while you have the connectors off to clean the corrosion that is likely there. If the injectors are not between 11.0-13.5 ohms, they are out of spec and should be replaced. As mentioned above, the dremel method can be done very cleanly with patience.

however if you find that two injectors are bad, and you decide to replace them, I would bite the bullet and replace all of them because the other ones probably arent too far behind.. and it would be a shame to pull the plenum to replace two, only to find that you have to do more

I had a shop replace 4 of them about 2 months ago. This is a 1990 non-turbo z. I'm not sure how to get to the 6th injector does anyone have a diagram that can help? There seems to be some kind of vacuum hoes and another hose that runs from both sides of the manifold in the way. I've replaced injectors on GM cars but never a 300zx.

You need to remove the balance tube and coil pack to start with as well as bleed the fuel system pressure or clamp off the lines.The plenum needs to be ground out with a Dremel so you can get to the screws.
