^ Since when did s13s or 240s for that matter even have cabin filters? That's usually on newer cars no?

And OP, why did you specifically post a pic of your cold air intake when you wanted advice on the cabin filter that people ^ say exists? I think you confused them even more.

And besides, how does that pipe/filter even come close to the cabin at all?

Yup...washer is on other side

That is the blower motor and housing. Looks like it has some sort of filter on it...

Evaporator core I meant, but I'm still wrong. Sorry I'm not an A/C expert and my terminology sucks. Did you change the filter while you had it out? It looks pretty clean but I guess that could be just the flash?

Idk what I'm talking bout anymore, oh well, continue.

I think it was some sort of filter but I really paid no attention to it. It was not dirty. I just brought it up because I remembered seeing it.

I do not think it was ever intended to be routine maintenence filter anyway because it was a mother to remove.

You have a 96 (S14) So I am assuming that is the filter on the S14? Still wondering if S13s have cabin filters?

look

i was thinking in the engine bay somewhere would be a place for the air filter to be replaced, had no idea whether s13's came with one or not and whether or not it was in the cabin or somewhere in the engine bay just like the picture i just posted above.

i was looking for input to see if you guys knew where yours was cause i know my car was a lil modded.

i never even really looked at cars and i thought the air filter was always on the inside of the engine bay somewhere.

so sorry if you confused yourself, you just thought too much

Dude, you are confusing us even more now. Is the filter of the pic you posted the one you were looking to replace? Engine air filter btw. Or are you looking to replace the cabin air filter; you know, where you sit where you drive?

OMG! Now you deserve flaming! All im going to say is that ALL of your answers have been answered. Read through the thread and find them. BOTH filters have been depicted and explained thoroughly and this thread should be over.

PS- 2 Filters

1 - Engine Filter - This filter you will find on the piping to your INTAKE on your engine. As YOU depicted in your second picture. Lokos like a cone for you.

2 - Cabin Air Filter - When you turn on the heat or A/C there is a Filter under the dash behind the glove compartment that cleans the dust out of the air before it hits you.
