help replacing a starter on an S14

I've got the bottom bolt out of the starter, but can't figure out how to get at the top bolt. any advice would be appreciated, help me get my daily driver running again!

It just takes time. Move your arm around until you can reach it. I remeber i tried from both the top side and bottom. I believe i got it from the bottom. Theres no trick to it, just keep at it. 2 bolts and a plug and your good to go.

okay i have one starter bolt off (highlighted in yellow) but i cant figure out how to get to the other bolt.

it looks like i have to remove the lower intake manifold, but that seems like a lot of work for replacing a starter.

does anyone have any advice?

just wiggle your arm into/around the intake manifold.by the oil filter.

just get a long extension for your ratchet. that and a swivel adapter will make it alot easier to get to from underneath. i got a 2ft one at sears for pretty cheap.. really helps if you ever have to drop the trans. too. that top bolt can be a pain.
