Hi All,

My Dad's 1994 Q45 has a blown tweeter on the driver side A-Pillar. Do you guys have any HOW-TO on how to replace these speakers?

If anyone has the info, I would greatly appreciate it.

With the blown speaker, there is a constant hum coming from the speaker whenever the radio is on, even with the balance all the way to the passenger side.

Thanks in Advance, Zack

if the tweeter is in the columns than its just like my car. i'll try my best to list it step by step. and the tools need for the job is a Flathead & Philips screwdrivers.

1)open driverside door and romove the plastic cover on the bottom with the flathead. the cover is secured with clips there should be three of them.

2)there should be a rubber lining along the doorway. no tools needed just pull it off.

3)once the rubber lining is off you should be able to get at the interior cover over the column. It is secured with clips (3 of them)so use the flathead screwdriver. try not use to much force...they are really fragile.

4)Cut the wires for the tweeter. it is secured with screws so use the philips screwdriver.

5)put everything back to the way they were. MAKE SURE you put the rubber lining around the door back correctly. if you don't you better hope it doesn't rain...

this should take you about 30-40 mins. depends on how long it took to pop off the clips. Goodluck

John
