hello
I need help trying to figure out how to get this water pump out. I have the the chain tensioner compressed and pinned. I have the slack on the chain have the pump loose but cant get the chain over the tooth to get it out. So my questions is: Do I need to take the tensioner out? Does this help me get the chain looser?

Thanks

CA

The tensioner has to come out, and you have to manipulate the crank to slack the chain. See CO-42 here:

Taking the tensioner out work and replaced the water pump. I vacuumed down the cooling system and filled the system.

I have a question thou. I took the car out for a good drive and ran my scan tool while driving the temperature readings is 226 degrees on the high end and 215 degrees on the low end. The gauge is just slightly below the middle and also when I brought back in garage the fans was on but the lower hose feels cold to me so I am not sure why that happens.

I will probably create a new post for that

Thanks
