I am began tearing parts out of my car today so I can sound dampen the entire vehicle and obviously I have removed a lot of clips. All the little clips are easy to remove, some have the center pieces that pop out first and some do not.

For some reason the clips holding in the trunk lining are impossible to remove!!! Is there a trick or am I doing something wrong!? I have a pry set and that wont work, I tried just pulling with my hands and now there sore, and I tried pulling the surrounding carpet and tore some.

Please help if you can! The clips are in the trunk and pictured below! Thanks.

Yeah good luck with that; I tried removing them when I installed my spoiler because I needed to get to the brake light wire. I ended up giving up and fished the wire through with a coat hanger. Sorry I'm no help, but I do fill your pain.

You can buy a bag of new ones from the dealer for like $8.

Get some wire cutters and cut the head off. They're a one-time use part anyway, not really designed to be reused. You'll see why when you get them out.

what i did is use a hammer (the part to pry nails out), just jam it in there, and its basically just like a nail. this way you can reuse them too, just jam it right back in. they are kind of a hassle but once you know how to do it its not a problem at all

this works beautifully! just make sure that you don't lose control of the hammer and get a nice, deep scratch in our trunk
