I know it looks easy but is there a trick to getting this out. I disconnected the four bolts from the pedal, i disconnected the hose and the master. it should just pull straight out huh... It's hitting the wire harness and some other things. It doesn't pull straight out. This is from my 1993 and i'm putting it in my 1991.

Have you looked at the FSM? The diagram shows a pin that connects the pedal to the input rod on the brake booster. If you take that pin out, it should free things up. I've never removed the booster on this car before, so I don't know if there are any other steps to it, or if you have to move anything else out of the way to give it enough room to fit in and out.

Just throwing this out there man, people that help you are sharing time and knowledge with you that they aren't going to get anything in exchange for. And there are a lot of things that some people might not be able to help you with. Please don't be rude just because help doesn't come at the exact time you need it. I try my best to help out on here, but sarcastic remarks like that can really make somebody feel unappreciated.

Have you tried to pry it out at all? It might be stuck pretty good because its been there for 20 years

i got it out far enough i could fit my fist behind it but it hits my wire harness under my plenum. these studs are Sooo long. i tried wiggling it out and everything. I bent my firewall trying to get it to go around the wire harness. I'll take pictures if you want, i just dont get this... The only option i have is to disconnect a motor mount and lift the engine 3 or 4 inches .

I'm sorry about being impatient too. I just havent been able to drive my car in so long and no one can figure out how to get this thing off that I know. I dont mean to be rude. just stressed out...

I just searched all over a couple forums. Didn't check tt.net, but I couldn't find anything like the problem you are having. Sound like most everyone who's done it before just disconnected the BMC, the four bolts on the firewall, and the pin that holds the input rod to the pedal.

Is your BMC still in the car? You will need to take it out, disconnect the brake lines and all.

i dont know if you got it out but i just did this on my car and it made it easier for me to move my fuel line where the fuel filter connects i just removed the ten mm bolts and moved them out the way and pull it out. if your car is a five speed it be easier if u remove the 12mm nuts off the clutch master and move it out the way. just my two sence you might wanna try
