Yep. Buy the Potato Sack. Help Glados power up. Help Portal 2 release early.

I wonder how this affects the PS3 version's release date. I plan on getting that one, since it'll link with my Steam account and give me a PC copy via SteamPlay and I'll be able to play it on more systems for the same price.

If you already own the games, you can still "contribute" by playing them:

Can't wait for the game either. Sucks it's full price but fingers crossed.

You have to buy indie games to get Portal released early?

Or just play them for free?

You have to PLAY them. But to play them you need to own them. The more hours the collective Steam community puts into each game, the quicker the graphs fill. Finding potatoes in each game (see my steam profile, or the 2nd link above) adds a multiplier to the hour toal. Reach the goal and portal will unlock early.

Why does that suck? It's not another 2 hour proof of concept. It's a full-length singleplayer game along with a similar-length co-op game.

I preordered on on Amazon. Its like $5.00 below MSRP and also includes a $20 Amazon credit. Looks like Best Buy has it for $44.99 currently. The release date makes no difference to me though. Its a gift for my gf that doesn't get opened until the beginning of May. Not that I have much time to game lately...

I saw this commercial. The guy at Game Stop was trying to sell me a preorder of this game when I bought Shift 2.

meh, I play these kind of games online. They always piss me off because I can only get so far. I think Id rather buy Mortal Kombat (yay)
