I am trying to do a rear 5 lug conversion and the hubs don't want to come off. From what I read, after I take off the 4 bolt it should come off pretty easily, or am I mistaken. The rotor doesn't seem to want to come off either.

after you take the wheels off, nothing holds the rotor on. bang on it with a hammer or somthing, it should pop off.

You may have to thread a bolt into the threaded hole in the rotor to "crack" it loose (sometimes they rust onto the hub).

After you remove the center nut (use an impact gun), the hub should come off the spindle pretty easily.

I will try to use the screw option to take the rotor off. I removed the whole spindle assembly and took the four bolts that hold the hub onto the spindle. The hub just doesn't want to seperate from the spindle. Any ideas on this?????

Similar to Christine's thread, I've had to hassle with the 180sx 5 bolt shafts and a couple I've come across on both 240sx and 180sx's have been absolutely gummed onto the splined hub.

Absolutely nothing could free the shaft from the hub, even with a full service shop of tools at our disposal. We ended up ordering more shafts and destroying the existing 5bolt shafts trying to extract them.

If you've already freed the shaft from the splined hub, and pulled the spindle from the car with the hub and bearing intact, since you've removed the 4 bolts, you need only to tap the bearing/hub assy and it will free itself.Corrosion keeps it stuck quite well...

I got the spindle off and pounded on the back. Nothing seems to make it even budge.
