I am wanting to bypass the rear heater core altogether. I have a new heater hose assembly (the one that traverses the firewall from passenger side to driver side and plugs into the auxiliary coolant pump). The catch is (by design) this new heater hose assembly lacks the downpipe connection that travels to the rear heater core hose. So the question is -- is there going to be an issue (throwing codes for example) removing that auxiliary pump from the circuit? In reading up on it -- it's sole function is to circulate coolant back to the rear heater core. Is this correct? Has anyone else done this on here and detailed their account? Thank you.
