I know, but only one of the apparent codes is actually on there. It seems like it reads 6, 23, 115...

Either you are reading it wrong or your ecu is messed up. Put ignition ON, twist screw all the way clockwise, twist screw all the way counter-clockwise. Now it will blink slow some number of times, then pause for 2-3 seconds, then blink fast for some number of times. Slow blinks is first digit, fast blinks is second digit. Then it will pause again for 2-3 times and then start blinking slow again. I don't mean to say you don't know what you're doing, I'm just letting you know how it should work so you can know if it's working correctly.

Did you ever get your gear shifter come out of park? If not then I have to ask a stupid question, is your car parked on some sort of incline/decline of any kind no matter how slight?

After going through the FSM and diagnosing a bunch of problems, the cable is just sticky, looks like all of those spilt drinks finally added up.. I now know practically everything about the electronics of S14 auto trannies, so if anyone has troubleshooting ?'s lemme know!
