hi i'm new to this forum and i'm about to do a rb25det swap into a s13. i'm now in the process of sourcing a front clip. I found a r33 rb25det front clip that is still fully intact: all of the front body panels (fenders, hood, headlights, bumper), brakes, dash, and gauges. i need to know if the fenders, hood, headlights, and bumper will fit onto the s13, because this clip is a little more expensive than normal. i wanted to do a front end conversion on my s13 anyways and this will kill two birds with one stone if the body parts will fit. otherwise i'll just be spending extra money for nothing when i could get a cheap front clip from venus-auto or somewhere. or should i buy the fully intact front clip and sell the extra parts. someone please help me with my decision.

thanks

with a little bit of modification the r33 front will fit. theres a kid in PA doing it as we speek. i think the r33 front would look mad on an s13. how much are you getting the clip for? and if your s13 a coupe or hatch?

yeah i think it will look hot too. please let me know how much modification will be required? i can get the clip for 3700.00 shipped. my s13 is a coupe, (unfortunately i wont have it until late august. i already bought it but my uncle can't bring it to me until then). the only other thing that sucks is the s13 is an auto, so i'll have to do a 5spd conversion which shouldn't be that hard since i'm swapping engines anyway. i'm hoping that i can find a 5spd s13 coupe before late august and my uncle will refund me the money for the auto (so i wont have to be worried about the 5spd swap).

coverting to a 5spd will take you about 10 minutes. get a 1 1/2" hole saw and drill out the premarked hole for the master cylinder. go to a junkyard and rip out the master cylinder and the pedal. take a sawsall to your brake pedal, bolt in the master cylinder and your done.

cool, i tought it would be pretty easy but i didn't know it would be that easy. have you found out how hard it would be to make the r33 fenders, bumper, headlights, and hood fit. also do you think that 3700.00 shipped is a good price for the entire front clip of the car? even if the parts won't fit should i still get it and sell the rest of the spare parts? sorry for so many questions i just don't want to let a good deal slip away.

for 3700 i would def grab it up depending on how many miles are on the clip and also try to get a compression test b4 you purchase it. as far as the r33 front end goes, i dont know for sure cause ive never done it, but the kid who is doing it posts on this forum every once and while. he hasnt done it yet but once he does ill find out more for you.

I have seen an R32 front end on an S13, but not a R33 yet. You should be able to use the clutch assembly from the R33 clip, so you won't have to go to a junkyard.

That price isn't bad, so It is worth a shot.

Good luck!!

thanks for all the help and info guys. i think i'm gonna go ahead and get this clip. the worst that could happen is the fenders, headlights, etc. don't fit and i'll have to try to sell them. thanks again.
