HELP rb25 trans took a crap (rebuilding)

well im going to have to start tearing down my rb25det transmission here very shortly cause last night out of the blue my 1st gear would not go into gear at all it just grinds and 3rd and 4th grind a little when shifting in, but i still have my rb26 transmission and heard from someone that the gears set is exactly the same ecxcept for the transfercase end of the transmission. has anyone on here rebuild the rb25 trans with there rb26 any help would be apreciated. and i know that the z32tt stuff works for the rb25 trans but i have no money so im trying to use what i have and what i have is my r33 rb26det awd trans.

yeah what you say is true and i think boosted z did a write up on it a few months back. but he used a z32 transmission insted of the awd one.

best bet is to take it apart and find out!, compare internals and start swapping.

well im going to tear it down once i fix my daily acura cause i just picked up a used auto transmission for it today and im going to tear it down tommorow and fix that by tommorow night or tuesday and then im going to pull the trans out of my 240 and start tearing it down and tear down the rb26 trans and see what the damage is and see what i can do. but if anyone on here knows for a fact the rb26 gear set and synchros are the same as the rb25 let me know.
