My dad has a 2006 Frontier, his radio for the last 2 weeks has been stuck on scan, no matter what I do. The radio stations keep changing! He tried to get to the stereo when I wasnt there and broke the dash trim on top, next to the placemat/thing where you can put your phone or wallet on top of the radio. Once I got to his house to help him remove the old radio I was able to remove it no problem. I took it home with me and will take it apart to see if there is dust jammed behind the seek button or anything. I have an OEM bose stereo that I took out of my 99 Infiniti QX4 when I upgraded my head unit, the plugs matched up perfectly, but nothing happens when the truck is turned on...did nissan change wiring in the radio over time?? Also, I checked courtesyparts.com for the dash panel part....$130! Are there any websites or anybody on here selling them cheaper? Thanks guys

btw...here is a photo I pulled from google, the red line is where the part is cracked

All the nissan bose systems I had 300ZXTT and Maxima hand amped speakers and was 100% not compatible with any other radios or speakers, I replaced entire systems both cars. Radio and speakers bose is NON standard junk in my opinion. High priced junk for cars. Home bose is good stuff but I can build a better system cheaper after market rather than repair or replace any part of bose car stuff. Just my opinion. Not sure if the newer bose is same

I agree, that's why my stock bose stereo has been in a box in my basement for over 2 years after my HU upgrade. But my dad is a construction worker who just likes to listen to the news and some 80s rock...the stock speakers are horrible anyways. If the bose unit worked though he wouldnt have to shell out cash for a head unit, or try to fix the current one!

If the speakers are standard he can go to wal mart and for 80 bucks get a JVC HU and a 10 dollar harness adapter and be assured of yrs of worry free music, if the speakers are compatible. I have had my base jvc cd player for 3 yrs no issues paid 80 bucks for it the new one has more features at same price. I also run the lil truck over one road down town that has about 8 sets of nasty RR tracks, never skipped on CD once. For the money JVC is a great unit, I had previously had all alpine and honestly the HU is as good as the 180 dollar alpine unit.
