Ok I have two question about the installation.

What do I do with the hose line coming from the black cube shaped object (its located on the driver side close to where the old air filter box use to be. I think its the aiv unit? what would happen if I drove the car with that line disattached?

Also how do I install the little sensor that connects onto the old air filter box. What is this sensor good for?

put a filter on the end of the hose. do a search on air intake mods for your car, some of the guys have done this. the sensor is an intake sensor. you can usually pop a hole in your cone filter and bolt it in. assuming your doing a cone filter.

What type of intake are you using? If you're using injen then they already supplied you with a hole for the sensor. And the hose line also goes right onto the the new intake.

I'm using an injen air intake, but I bought it used. I dunno if the guy that gave it to me switched some parts. Cause the adapter that connects on the the MAS, doesn't have an opening for the sensor or the hose. It just connects directly onto the cone filter.

Hrm, maybe they gave you a generic adapter. That'd suck. But yah, if you look at the pic I posted above closely you can see right behind the filter on that metal adapter. There's three little holes tapped in it for you to bolt the sensor up. And right in the same area but underneath (not able to see in the pic) is where the other hose fastens on. Really simple stuff. Only took me fifteen minutes to install everything. Anyways, for the black box. Just put a breather on it. They're like ten bucks at an auto supply store. not sure what to tell you about the sensor. I've heard some people just leave it hanging in the engine bay but that seems jacked to me. You could always try drilling your own holes into the adapter. I dunno. I know there's a thread on it here somewhere that I read a while back.

Oh yah, here's a sticky on removing that black box altogether. Or you can just thro a breather on it if you can't attach it to the intake adapter.http://www.nissaninfiniticlub....26150
