help purchasing coupe 35

whats going on fellas? i posted yesterday talking about a g35 i test drove. well i went back and test drove it again today and absolutely fell in love.

the car i test drove was a 2005 coupe 6 speed with 69,000 miles and they were asking 18,000.

i know i can do better, so i called up one of my dealer friends and he told me he would go to manheim auto auction and keep an eye out for me. only thing is i dont know what exactly to tell him to look for other then a g35. im not looking to spend anymore then 16-19,000.

as far as manheim auto auction goes, its one of the biggest auto auctions in the world. get all different types of used vehicles from leases to 200,000 mile beaters.

what all should i look for in a g? i already know i want a 6 speed coupe, but anything else you guys can recommend would really help he is going to call me tomorrow night to get the rest of the details.

I would look for a car that has:Low mileageNo evidence of mods.No evidence of wreckHas lived in the South only (no rust underneath or on bolts in eng. bay)Has clean carfaxShifts good in a gears at hight RPMs

i think 23,000 is a little high. i was thinking about offering 17,500. do you think that is too much of a low ball?

Don't let a car with mods scare you. The engine on these cars are pretty much bullet-proof. (if it has twin turbo, make sure everything is OK)

I would definitely stick with an 05-07 coupe.

i amslo looking and low ball them because their not going to sell cars fast no one is buying!! low ball and dont let up there are a lot of g35s out there that cant sell and look at more than just 1
