I have a 91 240sx w/ SR20DET, I bought the car about 3 years ago in Virginia and moved back to Indiana about 2 years ago. The climate change caused it to run a bit rougher but no big problems. I am now selling the car and today during a test drive it was running great. After doing a few runs up and down the road with a potential buyer it started pulsing and stuttering at 3500 rpm and becomes un-drivable past 4k rpm in that gear. It happens in every gear also. I assumed it was some kind of vaccuum problem but I really dont know much about turbocharged vehicles. Through research on the forums I have gathered that it is probably either a vaccuum problem, my MAF sensor, my fuel pump/filter, or my spark plugs/ coil pack wiring. Any input would be great cause I have no clue what is going on.

I would check all of tthe above. I would start with the vaccum leak.

The best way to do that is to spray carburator cleaner on the vacuum hoses and start it up right?

awesome, Ill try that as soon as I get a chance. Thanks for the reply. Hopefully it works. Someone told me today that it could also be a bad bearing in my turbo, does this sound like a possibility?

if not fixed yet. try checking your boost control hose from your turbo to your controller. it might of melted like my bros. which caused it to bog at 3k rpm.
