So just the other day i got on my 240 a little and noticed it felt like it had a lose of power at higher rpms and stops pulling strong and starts popping and crackling..just driving around it drives fine...Ive noticed the fuel pump seems to be really louder and when i go to pump gas when i open my cap air comes out where the cap isnt venting i guess..idk if that has anything to do with it but just thought i would mention it... and a few times when i turn my car off its like it wants to keep running and the motor shakes bad and makes like a "psssh" sound or like a air pushing sound.. doesnt sound good at all... but the car drives fine.. idk what it is!??...ive checked the vacuums and the piping and everything looks good

any help would be greatly appreciated

stock sr20det btw
stock piping and side mount

First, I thought your title said "Pooping and loss of power."

Second, if your gas cap hisses at you when you open it, that means you bought a Nissan 240sx.

As far as the crackling, popping, and loss of power: I don't know much about SR's, but that just sounds like the end of the powerband. What RPM does this tend to happen?

lol, you're running it that high w/o a tach?

....did you replace your stock 240sx fuel pump when you swapped in that sr20?
sounds like your strained pump is dying..

well it could be a number of things. First, get the tach working. then u can tell what rpms it is loosing power at. Make shure your fuel pump isnt stock one. It could be your loosing power at a certain rpm because of cam timing, even a bad maf. Go buy maf cleaner(dont spray anything else into the maf it will f*** it up) and clean it, see what happens. Then let us know whats good.
