I only started to notice this afternoon when I got off work. I went into my car to try starting the car, and it wouldn't crank. I then proceeded to try again, and it would fire up. Struggling to, but eventually did.
I then drove home, and parked it. Just now as I went out to turn it on, it wouldn't turn on. It clicks once, and all the interior lights, dash symbols, etc, shut off. When I reconnect the battery, the interior light will come on full power. Dash lights light up on ACC. But when I try to crank, it clicks once, doesn't crank, and all interior lights including dash symbols shut off again. If I reconnect the battery again, the same thing happens. Interior lights come on, dash lights on ACC, then when I try to start it, it will click, and lights shut off, etc.
Its not the battery as I've tried two brand new ones. I do not think it's the alternator either. I have not push-started the car yet to see if it's the starter, but I suspect it is.
What else could it be?
EDIT: I've repeated the battery reconnection process a few times, and around the 2nd or 3rd try, I heard a rapid "clicking" sound from my .... dash? It sounded like the driver side somewhere. It was a lot of clicks in a few seconds. Sounded like a semi-automatic rifle unloading a clip, except it was unloading "Clicks"
Thanks.
