Hello everyone, i am in need of expert advice I own a 1990 300zx TT. I am currently rebulding my trubos and changing all hoses on my engine. I recently found out that one of my injectors isn't working and rather replacing only that one i would like to buy all 6. The problem is i dont know how many cc my injectors have right now and if i can go with bigger injectors without modyfing my computer. Thanks

If you do buy bigger injectors, you will need to upgrade your ECU. Are you rebuilding your stock turbos, or are you getting bigger turbos? If you are just running stock turbos, stock injectors are just fine.

I believe the stock injector size on TT's are 340CC. Your ECU is programmed to only run on one size of injectors, and that is 340CC, so if you put bigger injectors in there, the ECU will flood the engine with fuel.

They are a venom fuel injector dealer. What would happen if i get the 440 cc injectors? Is there any truth to what they said?

the result of just putting 440cc injectors in is that you're pouring 20% more fuel in all across the board form idle to redline, this means you run rich and burn more gas while making less than optimal power, it isn't too expensive to get the remapped ecu to wrok with the larger injectors but just plugging in larger injectors won't make more power

I put 440cc venom injectors in my 1990 300zx TT and it runs very rich at idle. I have to get my ecu retuned to idle better. A JWT tech told me they are having a lot of problems with Venom injectors and he had me send mine in to get pressure tested. Hopefully the results are good and I won't have to fight to get my injectors returned. I should have bought 555 cc ones but I didn't think I would upgrade my turbos.

Anyways the Venom dealer also told me that I would be able to run the 440cc injectors without upgrading the ecu. Well he was wrong, it runs to rich at idle.

Honestly, don't buy injectors from Venom or trust what they tell you.

^^^ Agreed. From what I heard, Venom isn't really that great of a company to work with. Get some NISMO 555CC injectors with a remapped ECU and you will be set, or stock injectors if you want so you don't have to remap your ECU.

Does it idle too rough?
