guys i want to wire my verts electrical switch to the front of the car,i found the motor in the boot which has a positive and negative wire and need to run wires from there somehow as my other wiring got burnt do to a stereo install that went bad .

i need assistance how to run wires to a switch from the motor direct,will i need a relay?im so confused? i opened the roof with a car battery runing a positive and negative to the motor it works no probs.I want to wire it up so i can open it up with ignition off aswell so i think ill have to run it direct fom the battery to the switch or?what?please someone guide me as im in australia and parts or looms are impossible to find for jdm convertibles mine is a s13 1989 model it has a motor in the rear trunk running the hydraulic arms.

Well, to do it properly you're going to have to find out how many amps the motor draws.

If its low enough, you should be able to find an appropriate switch. If its kinda high, you'll want to get a relay. You can use small wiring to the switch, but will want to use some beefier stuff for the main power from the relay.
